THE POP EXPOSE – A Look Back at the 80’s Classic “Fast Times At Ridgemont High”!
Hello everybody. Today I’m taking a look at the classic 1982 coming of age movie “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”. This is such a good movie and has a pretty stellar cast. The late great Ray Walston, who was the lead roll in “My Favorite Martian”, plays history teacher Mr. Hand. Hand a hard nosed no BS teacher butts heads several times with the relaxed Southern Cal surfer dude Jeff Spicoli played by Sean Penn.
Anyone who has ever watched this movie knows about Phoebe Cates’ famous pool scene when she gets out of the pool and opens up her top. Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Romanus, Brian Backer and Judge Reinhold round out the main characters, but there were a few greats that played minor roles, including Forest Whitaker, Anthony Edwards, Nicolas Cage and Pamela Springsteen, who is the sister of Bruce Springsteen.
This is a great movie and I even bought the Colt 45 t-shirt Spicoli wears in a few scenes. If you have never watched this put it on the watch list. Have a great week everybody.
